The harbour of Naissaar with boats at the pier, seen from the sea

Naissaar tours & tickets

The one bookable Naissaar trip, plus the island, sailing and Tallinn tours that go best with it — compared honestly.

Let us be straightforward: Naissaar is not a mass-market destination, and GetYourGuide currently lists exactly one Naissaar tour — a private half-day trip from Tallinn, priced per group. Most visitors simply buy a seat on the seasonal passenger boat from the boat operator and explore on their own or join a truck tour on the island.

What GetYourGuide does very well is everything around the island. Below you will find the Naissaar trip itself, bookable days on the neighbouring islands of Prangli and Aegna, sailing on Tallinn Bay, and the Tallinn tours — Old Town, Soviet history, the maritime museum — that turn an island day into a complete trip. Every product on this page is real and was checked against GetYourGuide’s own listings; prices are indicative starting prices.

For the public boat, see getting to Naissaar. For our opinion on which tour to pick, see the ranked list.

Choose by the kind of day you want

A guided island day

Naissaar privately with your own group, or Prangli per person with boat, guide and lunch included.

Visitors riding in the back of an old military truck on a sandy track on Naissaar Private island trip from €796 per group
🕒 5 hours 📍 From Tallinn

From Tallinn: Half-Day Guided Tour to Naissaar Island

The only Naissaar trip listed on GetYourGuide: a private half-day outing from Tallinn with the crossing and a guide on the island. It is new and has no reviews yet, and the price is for the whole group — it makes most sense when you can share the cost.

  • Boat crossing of Tallinn Bay with your own group
  • Guided visit to the island’s nature park and military heritage
  • Priced per group, not per person
A sandy village lane between stone walls on Prangli island Island day trip from €157
🕒 9 hours 📍 From Tallinn ⭐ 4.6 (34)

All-Inclusive Day Trip from Tallinn: Prangli Island

The best-reviewed small-island day trip from Tallinn that you can book per person. Prangli is Naissaar’s inhabited cousin: a fishing community with a wooden church, a shop and a truck tour — an easy alternative when Naissaar boats do not suit your dates.

  • Ferry ride to an island that has been lived on for centuries
  • Island tour in an open-top truck with a local guide
  • Local lunch and free time by the sea

On the water

Sail the bay at sunset, hop to little Aegna, look for seals or cross the gulf to Helsinki.

The story behind the island

Medieval Tallinn, its Soviet decades and its maritime past — the background to everything you see on Naissaar.

The Patarei sea fortress and former prison on Tallinn’s seafront in winter Walking tour from €30
🕒 2 hours 📍 From Tallinn ⭐ 4.9 (203)

Hidden Tallinn: Soviet Walking Tour

A well-reviewed, inexpensive walk through the Soviet layer of the city. It is the natural companion to Naissaar, which spent the same decades as a closed military island that ordinary Estonians could only look at from the shore.

  • Soviet-era architecture and everyday spaces still in use
  • Stories from the occupation years
  • Beyond the usual Old Town route

Coast and nature on the mainland

For windy days when the boat stays in harbour, or simply for more forest, bog and shoreline.

Aerial view of the Seaplane Harbour and its piers on Tallinn’s seafront Walking tour from €25
🕒 2 hours 📍 From Tallinn ⭐ 5.0 (1)

Tallinn Seafront Walking Tour

A guided walk along the city’s waterfront, the stretch of shore that island boats have used in recent seasons. Only one review so far, but a fitting warm-up the day before you sail.

  • Tallinn’s relationship with the sea, past and present
  • The waterfront rather than the Old Town
  • Easy two-hour walk

Batteries, a mine factory and empty beaches — an hour from Tallinn

Naissaar has no shops and the boat runs only in season. Pair your island day with guided trips from Tallinn — a Prangli island tour, a sunset sail or a Soviet-history walk — and book the rest of your stay in one place.

Tours & tickets: FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Is there a group tour to Naissaar I can join?

Not on GetYourGuide at present: the only listed Naissaar product is a private trip priced per group. To join others, buy a ticket on the seasonal public boat and take the truck tour offered on the island — see getting there.

Why are there Prangli and Tallinn tours on a Naissaar site?

Because they are what visitors to Naissaar actually book. Prangli is the best per-person, fully organised island day from Tallinn, and the Tallinn tours cover the city almost everyone stays in. We would rather show real, relevant products than invent Naissaar ones.

Can I cancel if the weather is bad?

Most GetYourGuide products offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and boat trips cancelled by the operator for weather are normally refunded or rebooked. Check the conditions on each product page.

Do the prices include the boat?

The island day trips (Naissaar, Prangli) include the sea crossing. City tours obviously do not. Always read the “includes” section before booking.

Which currency are prices in?

We show indicative prices in euros, Estonia’s currency. GetYourGuide displays live prices in your own currency at checkout.
